Slick or buck?

Just a 6 point. Nothing massive.....it was my slump buster. I’ve gotten skunked with my bow for the last couple years so I was happy to take him. Decent body....maybe 130lbs. Racks not impressive....lol

IMNSHO, bucks taste much better due to less fat. Of course, bambi is the best.

I am assuming Bambi was harvested. Needing 2 more (jealous. Here in Oregon it’s one and done)

Oh I can take a buck during archery, plus 2 doe tags to use anytime, buck during firearm, buck/doe during black powder. Plus we can get 2 more doe tags after nov 1 if I remember correctly. Never really needed that many tags. Lol

As it should be.
Largest I’ve ever taken was a mercy kill of a wounded buck. 820 yards +/- First shooter got em in the guts. 30 minutes later I glasses him across a huge clear cut and had the equipment needed to poke out there. Only a 4 pt with eye guards (you whitetail guys would call them ten pointers). Come to find out the guy I was hunting with took his first shot at him just under 500 yards.

Never hunted with anyone since.

Rest of my kills have been forks or slicks. First legal meat, it’s a done deal.
