So I’ve noticed my broody being more cranky than usual. Her tail feathers are now gone. Inside of the coop has orange and brown feathers everywhere.
Poor girl.

I call this look ‘haggard’

She’s my favorite. I’m hoping to let her hatch her own eggs next broody cycle. Also hoping one of the barred chicks I chose from straight run bin is a cockerel.
I desperately want another broody. I don’t know this ones age and seriously can’t imagine raising chicks that other way ever again.
