OMG...egg moved!!!

Just checked again, and nothing yet

I know they have a plot to wait until I go to bed.... LOL
I am trying to decide if I should open the bator to re-wet the sponges to raise the humidity back up? Right now it is 59%, but I know it will go down over night if I don't do it. And the temp will drop when I open it, but it recovers pretty quickly.... guess I will think about it a little longer, but will probably re-wet them.

If I expected a hatch tonight, I would make my humidity right before I went to bed.... I know my bator temp would bounce right back up after a quick lid opening... I wish you a great hatch. Bill

So far we have 2 little, tiny chicks!

I am waiting until the second chick dries off to move them both to the brooder. The humidity right now is at 60% but I know it will drop when I open it to take them out. So, I think I will take them out, close it back up.... wait a little while, then open it again to re-wet the sponges. I don't want the top off too long trying to do it all at once, and have the temp and humidity drop too much.
As far as the two that are going into the brooder, I think once I put them in there I will leave them alone for a little bit and then go back and dip their beaks in the water. I have a poultry quart waterer with a very small drinking trough that I put marbles in, but then I have a lid with marbles and water in it. I don't know which one they will use, but thought I should have both. For the food I have the bottom saucer of a poultry feeder, and put some marbles on top. I also sprinkled some of the food on the bottom of the brooder..... I should be able to move them to the brooder in the next hour or so.
Nothing yet from the other egss...... waiting......
