The adults need to be separated from the Ducklings till the Ducklings are older. They will not accept them. Once the Ducklings are out of the Brooder, place them in a look no touch pen and then try to introduce them all as they free range.

* Enjoy the hatching process, which I'm sure you knew about, a bit at least, before you started... but now they are coming, but now they are here, but now it's Sooo exciting... !!!
I remember feeling like this when I picked up 3 week old chicks (all of 4 weeks ago). Even though I'd read and worked out everything, I still had to sift through my knowledge for the answers to right now when they came home. I had feeders for babies that they just knocked over; they kept putting their bedding in their water; giving them yoghurt when they hadn't finished playing 'what you got' meant the entire brooder (I used a fish tank) was coated in yoghurt and so were the chicks. They then proceeded to try to peck the yoghurt off the glass ... for hours... tap, tap, tap. When the grandkids were here the first time, the chicks stayed up long after the kids had gone to bed (just like hyped-up children at a sleepover) So cute and crazy!
* Keep reading and asking questions while wasting all your time watching tiny lives emerge and thrive.
* Share some pics and make sure you have a brooder and some supplies ready to keep your babies warm and fed and watered. DIY and what you have, sometimes, does the job. You've probably already got this on hand, but you'll need feed and bedding that works for peepers and a heat source to keep them at the right temp once they are out of the incubator, of course.
* Just like human babies, keep cleaning up all their poops and spills while goo-ing and gaa-ing.

Does anyone know if the babies (I have chicks hatching) if them flopping around and moving eggs and getting them rolled over...can that hurt the unborn chicks??? I am worried at the moment...

Yes it can, if can actually flip the chicks around inside the egg, resulting them pipping on the wrong side, which can result in them dying... This is currently happening to another person on BYC, her chicks were running with the other eggs and they have flipped over and now hatching wrongly..

i can't get a good enough pic to see. I know its on the Big end and not the small end and not in the middle but I think it maybe on the side that was facing down during lockdown. Will it get stuck?

It is suppose to be hatching from the big end of the egg (round end) as that’s where the air sac is and where the chip starts to pip and zip. Why are worried? We really need a pic to confirm
