OMG! just found 19 eggs!

I introduced 3 new easter eggers to my flock 2-3 weeks ago. Apparently only one chooses to lay in the nest boxes with the other hens. In the past 2 days I have found 19 eggs in two different spots in my back yard. I assume this to be about two weeks worth. My question is: Is there any chance these eggs arent rotten? What do I do?

Float test-

what are the temps where you are- there may be chicks started

If you have no roosters you can just crack them into a cup before use and check to see if they stick to the shell... If they do they're no good.

I find all this testing tedious.

When I have a ton of eggs I scramble them up and feed them back to the girls. Yum yum, done done.

I also give my birds eggs. They LOOOVE them!! A friend told me that once eggs start laying she soft scrambles the eggs but she also gives them the shells. Should the get the shells?


and another question... Whats the float test??

It helps tell the age of eggs if they sink in a large bowl of water they are very fresh, the less they sink the less fresh they are.

If they smell toss um.
