I am so glad you saved the fishy. We saved our eel back when he was a little guy. He had somehow gotten sucked up into the filter. I still don't know how long he was in the filter before DH started to clean it. The first thing he knew about the eel being in the filter was he saw something moving in the gravel after he dumped the filter out. He scooped him up and tossed the little guy back into the tank. The little guy is now nearly 20" long. So there is life after near death.

I have to agree that putting your hand in the garbage disposal is somehow way nasty and kind of scary.
