I received some shipped eggs today, some of the eggs were UPSIDE DOWN, that's right the small pointed end was up. Do you think these eggs have no chance of survival now? No I didn't get them from anyone on this site.

There is no way that package traveled with the correct side up, so don't worry about how they arrived. If they aren't broken or cracked...you're ahead of the game. Candle the eggs to see if the air cells are where they should be or were knocked loose. Then just let them sit (large end up) for 12-24 hours to let them settle down (outside of the incubator).

It's recommended to let them sit upright (Large end up) in the incubator for the next 3 days without turning them. This is to get the air cells to secure back into the large end. It doesn't always work but it's your best bet. After that, incubate and turn as normal.

Lol just had a mental image as the box was shipped upside down and those few eggs packed wrong were actually right most of the trip.

Make sure and mark the ones that were in wrong so we can tell if they hatch.
