I havent been here in so long and its nice to see some friendly faces still. I guess I should start by saying the duck math got me, and now I have 24 adult ducks, 2 African Geese, 1 silkie roo, and 14 ducklings.
I have some color questions! 1. I recently added a silver WH drake ti go with my gold and silver hens. He is supposed to around a year, year and a half. So when do they develop their green heads? Here is my new addition, Zeus.
Also, in my latest batch of ducklings, two turned out with a mallard/Rhouen coloration, even though I have none. Im assuming this is a latent gene. Most of the ducklings are either Indian Runner or Ancona/swedes. A few may have Saxony lineage. My hens kept depositing their eggs in my Runner nests. So are they just a regular duck with malkard coloration, or how does that work??? Here they are. You can the ones im talking about in the group.
