My main choice would have to be medieval ior Georgian/Victorian. You pick. I'm good with either.

Hmmm.... Georgian would be nice. No one has done that here before.
We should have the plot be some form of uprising from the common people against the monarchy, led by a few sneaky royals themselves (though the others do not know) in order to achieve absolute power. They kidnap some important ladies along the way to scare the loyalists and neutralists and viola, they've got themselves a revolution.

Ohh I like that idea! Like the scarlet pimpernel. He rescued royals from beheading in the French revolution. He was a noble himself... I think its a book but I've seen the movie.
An interesting twist would be one of the high class ladies they kidnap would end up helping them and potentially falling in love with one of the revolutionists.
