hi folks. I’m thinking of getting the omlet Automatic coop door for my wooden coop.

They post the full external door size on their website, but I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what size of hole I’d need to cut for the actual coop entry? I’d like to cut the hole before I put up the door/wall. As I’ve just ordered the auto door now and won’t receive it for a few weeks, but want to continue working on the coop.

And for the size of chickens I’ll be having, I’m going to have australorps, ameraucanas, and faverolles. So I’d need the largest measurement allowable.

Thanks folks! Also I hope this made sense!

I'd contact them and ask...or use the 11.75" x 7.75" dimension shown on this illustration from the webpage linked above

I think the 11.75" x 7.75" dimensions are the size of the chicken opening.
The overall dimensions are also given and you can see where the 4 screw holes are for attaching to coop wall, those hole locations are not dimensioned.
