? on crock pots.

I have 2 or 3 crock pots. Never bought one new. My question is on the temp settings there is lo, hi (I understand these) but there is also something called autoshift. What is that for?

Not knowing which brand you have, I would assume that it has a thermostat which allows it to switch to warm/lo at a certain temp. I have one that switches at a certain time (i.e. after 8hrs. or 6hrs. on high)

Not knowing what brand you have, BUT if you look at any crock pots on eBay the specs show this one Rival model with a setting that switches to WARM once the auto cycle (low or high, 4 hours or 6) is completed. Thus holding your food at serving temp but not drying it out.

I've got an old Rival crockpot that has the auto dial and its great! Sorry I am not parting with any of my crockpots!
