Thats alright, thanks for clarifying! I will definitely do that if there is a next time. Unfortunately cant own a rooster where were at, at least as long as the council doesnt find out. We were bed ridden with the flu and werent able to lock him up at night so he started crowing at 3 am and neighbours mustve gotten pissed and dobbed us in so we had to get rid of him

Get a couple inexpensive digital thermometers and humidity gauges and compare them to the incubators reading.You'd be surprised how many incubators aren't accurate.I used a broody hen to hatch my chicks but I do have a homemade incubator for emergency use.Good luck!

I waited 5 years before I hatched any chicks because I didn't want to eat any extra roosters or try to find them all homes.I wish you a Merry Christmas and hope all is well with you.
