On my last thread.....

Continue treatment and give him 24 -48 hours from when you started. If he's not drinking well you can give him some of the regular Corid water orally several times throughout the day, same way you give the drench, in addition to the dose of drench. Once the coccidia die off, his gut needs to heal, and the time depends on the severity of the illness. Hopefully treatment was started in time, but the amount of damage to his digestive tract is an unknown. It can vary bird to bird, and depending on which strain of coccidia it is. Too much Corid is not a worry, so get as much of the Corid water in him as you can.

I have been trying to do both now because I have not seen any activity improvements, and it worries me. I just hope he pulls through.

Is he’ll eat, you can also mix some corid-laced water with some of his feed, making an oatmeal-like mash. Give in addition to the corid drinking water & the corid drench.

I was wondering if it would be okay for them to eat that way. I have read articles where it said not to feed chickens moist food like that, but I feel it would be an easy way to ge the medicine in them.

I give my flock wet feed all the time. They love it! And so far I’ve not had any ill-effects from doing so. That said, you would only want to give them enough wet feed they could eat in an hour or so, so it doesn’t spoil. I’ve also given worm meds this way. Not the most accurate, but sure less stressful on all of us!

I would do this with about a half cup of feed wetted down with the Corid water if I were you.
