I have a 13 year old who has a golden pheasant. Today said teenager was supposed to be leaving for school with his dad and sister. Except he was standing by the pheasant pen (in our garage) instead of in the car. His pheasant was also walking around the garage and the net had vanished. Apparently he had to wait 5 minutes for everybody to get in the car so let’s open the pheasant pen! ? Yeah, me too! I quickly got him in the car (big garage door was open!) and sent them on their way so we could shut the door and keep the bird from escaping permanently. I opened the pen door, tossed in some sunflower seeds, and herded him towards the door, he walked right in. He might have more sense than his owner at the moment!
