Did Diggers aggression start when you added the new chicks?
Some birds are incorrigible bullies, might be good to remove her permanently from the flock.
Not entirely. She has picked on her flock mates before, but they stand up for themselves. Her "sister" is the flock leader and I think she's trying to dominate the smaller ones because she's always been stuck as second in command.
I have had Digger in with the entire flock and the babies aren't being hurt, no blood or sores just a few pulled feathers. I can handle her trying to find her place in the pecking order again with the new additions. I do have 3 cockerels and they are starting to fight back, so she leaves them alone now.
My main concern is her picking at the wounds on the other 2 big girls. I don't want her be the cause of wounds on any body.
