Once a snake tried to eat one of our ducks.

This was last summer. Little jerk got some feathers but the duck was unharmed. We don't have the ducks anymore, but I'm sure snakes like chicken just as much.

What kind of snake is that? I doubt we have those kind up here in Wisconsin. All I see here is garter and bull snakes, both harmless.

That snake seems small to be going after a duck, but I suppose they go for the neck and hope to kill it. Lucky duck you saved it!

It's a rat snake. Yes, he was far to small to eat the duck(full grown drake), but he was trying to coil around his neck.
