Thanks everyone for reading this post. I've got three supposedly hens. I got them from a lady I trust at 4 weeks old, they are now 17 weeks. One of the ladies started crowing which I understand does happen from time to time, but looking at her tail I'm staring to wonder about her gender. She's a black Australorp, the others are a ligth Sussex /Australorp and isa red / Autralorp mix. I'm also a bit worried about the white one too now... Thanks for your help!

The red one looks to be a hen, but I can't expand the picture on my phone to take a good look.
The black one has pointy saddle and hackle feathers, indicating a rooster.
The white one really looks to have rooster tail feathers, with how they curl down like that. The legs look pretty thick and if I'm not mistaken, those look like pointy hackle and saddle feathers, also indicating rooster.

ALL roos, sorry. that's no lorp- has wrong comb. lorps have single combs only. he has rose comb.

that black and white ain't lorp sussex. it has a crest, so it had to have a crested parent or one in ancestry.

the red one can't be a lorp isa red cross... second generation or later, maybe.

ummm I'd not trust that lady SO much on accuracy.

Black one is a roo - Not an Australorp
White one is a roo - Not Light Sussex x Australorp. Sussex and Australorps have a single comb, he does not.
Brown one looks like a hatchery quality Rhode Island Red hen.

Thanks everyone! Very much appreciated, just came back from work to read this... It's a bit sad as they're really nice and tame, and like most people am not allowed to keep roosters... Looking for a different home for them now. In regards to the red one, (s)he started developing a come the quickest and is quite bossy... Will also contact the lady I bought them from but will keep your advice in mind. Thanks again, I'll let you know how I go.
