Once and for all- How many of you wash your eggs

Only if they are poopy, otherwise just before i use them.

I only wash my eggs if they are for eating. NEVER for incubating

I wash poopy eggs only. I wash them in very hot plain water, no soap.
I change the hay in my nestboxes regularly and don't allow sleeping in the nestboxes.

Always with soap and warm water. Every egg. I'm a neat freak. I can't help myself.

I wash all my chicken eggs. poop on them or not. They come out of a chickens butt i have to wash it! lol HOT water and dish soap. lol But if a hen is sitting on them i will not wash them.

We float our eggs for about 2 minutes max-and then use the cold water that we float them in to clean the majority of the poop off.

Wash the dirty ones....just warm water.

I wash the poop eggs in HOT water and dry them quickly. Slightly dirty eggs get a dry scotch brite rub and a damp rag touch up...
