I actually find this to be the biggest flaw in the coop now that I know what I do. The ventilation window sits right at head height for the chickens. If the wind blows, it blows right onto them as they perch on the very minimal roosts. The coop was a gift and not one I chose or would choose now. In such a tiny coop, I don’t know how else one would create ventilation, but I really don’t think it’s suited for larger birds for that reason and for space. That said, I did not have any problems with moisture and ventilation in the cold weather when my standard hens were still in it, but I kept that window closed so there basically was no ventilation unless the door was open. Mine spent very little time inside even in the coldest weather, so perhaps the window could be opened during the day when they’re out.Does it have plenty of ventilation for cold weather?
