Once they start being mean to eachother...

Is it a silver or gold wyandotte? My silvers are -- how can I say this -- witches. I like that about them but I'm glad I'm not a chicken who has to live with them.

The gold ones are as sweet as they can be. The silvers have been very aggressive since I put them in the brooder! I will not be surprised if they turn out to be roosters. They chest butt the other birds and run up to them and stand up really tall like they're going to do some serious butt kicking...they really crack me up. Such pretty girls and so darned mean!

my hens are mean to their roo. they take food from him, and bite him on the butt while he's on the perch...I moved the perch higher, but the girls just flap up and bite him still.
he has no tail, he didn't have one when I got them. They all had bald patches, but they are growing in nicely, except roo's. Sometimes they bite him so hard he bleeds.
Yesterday, he was fighting with my green egger. They were both flapping and pecking, he was spurring her. And she didn't give me an egg either. last week it was one on my twins. When I seperated them, He tried to kill hisself, i guess, by slamming his self into the fencing.

I wonder too, what is wrong with my chickens

I've had them for about a month now, and they were full grown, all from the same place. 6 hens and the poor roo. This just started happening within the last week. Now the brown egger he was fighting with last week is laying deformed eggs, really big ones...is it because they were fighting???

My BO was alpha roo since December. No one even argued with her. Anyway, she went broody and was out of the group for 5 weeks, and when she was back with the group, she went to the bottom of the pecking order. It's 6 weeks now, and she is still not at the top, just accepting the middle.
