One Bad Apple

So this possum hangs out around my house, mostly at night.
But today I saw it come out across the street, from behind the house. Then it made a beeline across the street and spent some time preying on the rotten granny smith apples in the yard.
Anyone who thinks possums are slow didn't see this one run across the street. I think it broke a land speed record.

Imp- It is usually very skittish, one look at me and it takes off in terror. Course lots of animals do that.

In Washington, the slow ones seem to be "stuck" to the side of the road.

I can't talk to people above my social level. I'm a good respectful Southern boy. It just ain't right.

Maybe thats why this possom is still alive. The one I trapped the other night and my neighbor sent to possom heaven for me didnt run nearly fast enough to outrun a 12gauge shotgun.
