One chick died and one with an injury

I had 6 chicks of different breeds together. They get along just fine and have been growing and thriving. I found a silkie chick had died this morning. No obvious injuries. It was flat out on it's belly, neck extended and legs straight out behind it. I also found a 2.5 month old little cockeral with bruised and swollen wattles. No other injuries. His tail is drooping and he is not his usual boisterous self. I did not observe him eating or drinking. He was moving legs and wings just fine when I grabbed him. He was squeeling loudly too. I immediately put him in isolation for observation. Does anyone have some ideas of what might have happened?

Are they all the same age, or are they age differences? How and where are they being kept? Are they actively pecking each other more than usual? How old were they when the silkie was added? Do you have any pictures of the cockerel’s injury?
