One Chick Hatched Others Didn't

No other chick hatched yet. I also can't buy more chicks. Hopefully this won't hurt the chick mentally.
I wouldn’t worry about that at all, just know integration might be tough. Chicken moms show no favoritism to the teen or adult chicks they raise once they’re done raising them. Last year my same broody buff raised 4 and when she was done, it was almost like they were their own flock. They ALL ended up being roosters so I didn’t keep them long enough to see how the flock dynamics would turn out.

I have three hens that each hatched one chick. They all did great. I kept mama and chick in brooders until the chicks feathered out and let them integrate into the flock. The chicks just kept close to their mamas and still do. It seems that as long as they have their mama they are fine. I just try to let nature do it's job.
