Hi all, I have one week old baby chicks I got from TRactor Supply last Saturday. I just love them! This is my first time raising chicks! I’ve noticed one little girl has short wing feathers compared to her sisters. Is this normal? I’ve posted a comparison so you could see the length of the other chicks wing feathers. I have three buff orpingtons and three isa browns. They all seem to be growing at the same rate except her. Thanks!

Hello! Male chicks usually take longer to grow their wing feathers. If you got them as all females, is it possible that they could have made a mistake? I would just pay attention to it’s behavior and appearance as it grows to find out if it’s a male or not. Good luck!
