One chicken not laying

I have six Sex links and they all have been laying now for about 2 months they are 22 weeks old. I have one I think that is not laying? I am thinking that because I get 5 eggs a day. But I don't know how to find out what one is not laying? They all are eating and drinking fine. I just think she is being lazy. Should I try and find out what one is not laying? Can a chicken not lay eggs? All the help would be great.

Most likely they are all laying but you will not get an egg every day from every hen. So 5 eggs a day for 6 hens is a very good ratio. I have 10 Golden sex links about 20 weeks old and we average about 8 eggs a day from these hens. Today was the exception. We got 10. We have raised chickens for many years and this seems about average for sex links. I think you have some good laying hens there.

It takes between 21 and 36 hours for an egg to travel from beginning to end, so they don't always lay every single day (24 hr period) We have 6 red sexlinks and it seems to rotate for us...We've had them nearly 7 weeks now and have only had 2 days where we got 6 eggs (today was one of the, yay!) We have had a couple days where we had only two, but most days we get 3, 4 or 5. It averages out for us to about 4 and a half eggs a day...not too shabby!
