one chicken soft shells

One chicken only, Cecilia, continues to lay soft-shelled eggs which usually crack on contact with the shavings in the box. We do feed oyster shells and layer feed. I actually witnessed the laying, dropped into the box, I turned it over, broken. Help?

Since it is one hen doing it and the others are OK, I'd suspect it is genetic. If she is a young hen, just starting to lay, then I certainly suggest giving her time. She may be laying before her body is totally ready and it should straighten out in a couple of weeks.
