one crusty eye......any ideas?

i have a 6wk old white rock one of her eyes is crusty around the bottom half does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or did she just get something in it. just wondering if i need to separate her from the rest

When in doubt, separate. It helps you keep a little closer eye on the bird to see if there are any other symptoms that you might have missed. It also allow you to get a better idea of how much this chick is eating/drinking and pooing. Wash the eye with a cotton ball dipped in a weak saltwater solution to remove the crusty stuff. If the crusty stuff comes back in a day, then you're probably looking at some sort of respiratory problem.
