These photos are of my beautiful 1 day old Welsummer (Mum) x Isabella Brahma (Dad) chick. Having hatched Welsummer before I was lucky enough to be accurate in sexing them at a day old from the markings. Not so easy with this little cross beauty Just wondering what the forums thoughts are

Welsummers can't usually be sexed as day olds unless vent sexing is done. But sometimes you can tell by how thick the eye stripe is-- females are usually thicker, males slighter.

I don't know of anyway to sex the cross in your example as day olds.

Thank you. The 'eye liner' is exactly how I sexed the previous welsummer
