One dead chick and one sick chick.

Its over 90 degrees. They're on a 28% protein feed. Their poop looks normal. Where can I buy Corid? And I just noticed the beak last night when the one that died began acting funny. I read that a tablespoon of regular vinegar in a quart of water can kill Cocci.

I found Corid I'm getting it the morning I've lost another chick so im pretty sure it is cocci

90 degrees may be too hot for 2 week old chicks. You can tell by whether they avoid the area under the lamp, or stay away from it. 28% protein is a bit high. It should be around 18-22%. Vinegar does absolutely nothing for Coccidiosis. Corid 20% powder is 1 teaspoon per gallon of water for treatment, and Corid 9.6% liquid is 2 teaspoons per gallon of water for treatment. Make a fresh drinking water solution each day for 5 days. After 5 days of treatment with Corid, use vitamin electrolyte powder (dosage depends on brand) with Probios ( 1/2 teaspoon per gallon per gallon) for 3 days. Do that once a week. Then treat with Corid 1/2 the dose I mentioned 3 weeks later.

Keep the humidity down, stir up the litter and remove caked litter daily from the brooder. Keep feeders and waterers raised high enough for them to eat from, but still preventing them from crapping in them.

This is my first time raising chickens that have had any problems. So I'm not familiar with a lot. I've only been raising chickens period for about 5 or 6 months.
One more thing,do you have other chickens beside the 6 chicks? If so,make sure you quarantine new chicks before introducing them to you flock. This prevents any medical issues contaminating your flock. Quarantine period, anywhere from 2 weeks and up,i personally quarantine for at least a month.

Lower the temp, way too hot for 2 weeks chicks. Vinegar does NOT kill cocci.

ok thank you so much I'm going to get all of those things right now I have another one acting funny I hope I can catch it in time to save the last 4.
