One Down......One to Go!!!!!!!

Took the one trapped cat to Animal Control, unfortunately he was too wild to try to re-hab, he scratched me and 2 guys at the shelter, at least he didn't starve to death or get hit by a car or anything. Still have not seen the other one, told them I would keep the trap through the weekend and hopefully since the one is gone, the other will come in the barn and I can trap it too. I hope the second one is nicer and can be re-habed to be adopted, but not holding out much hope

thanks for at least caring/trying lockedhearts. most I see on here see ferals(NOT wild cats) as mean/crazy. they're simply scared /domesticated by man/ cats. I have a place that neuters my ferals cheap and then I just put cat food out during day and NEVER have had a mouse issue in 22 years. my dogs love the cats too cause I am the boss and they learned young.

These are former House Cats fighting for food now that they have been turned out, the first one was really easy. I have not even seen the second one in over a week, so it may have met it's demise elsewhere. Unfortunately I have to put the trap up on something my dogs can't get to, or I would be constantly catching Jack Russells

I have it sitting on the brooder in the barn, I know these cats get up there at night, I have seen evidence of it .

Well, I caught another cat last night and not the one I have seen, this is a Black Cat and seems much nicer so hopefully at the shelter it will have a chance. Still trying to catch the yellow and white one that I have not seen around in a few days.

I see feral cats on occasion. They come and go. I have no problems with them. Heck, the coyotes have to eat something. Better stray cats than my chooks!

Try putting some catnip in with the bait. You can tie it up in a bit of cheesecloth and hang it from the top at the back of the trap. The cats get a nice buzz and don't even care that they're trapped.
