one duck hatching

I have one egg under my muscovy due to hatch next weekend. First duck hatch for me .

What do I feed baby duck?

Should mom and baby duck be removed from the chicken coop/run when duckling hatches to keep chickens away?
I am concerened the chickens may peck baby duckling.

I dont have much time until it hatches...any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks .

Unmedicated chick starter works fine for a baby duck.

I generally seperate any brooding mom and new chick for their safety, but a lot of others don't and it's fine.

I feed mine chick starter. I haven't had any ducks go broody for me, I have hatched out my ducklings in the incubator. Congratulations!!! Also, I did have a problem with my chicks pecking at the duckling. I had to seperate it from the chicks that were the same age.
