My indian game rooster had a dreadful eye infection and, after several courses of antibiotics, the eye ended up having to be removed.
He had the op 11 days ago and is doing really well, the trouble is the hens don't want to mate with him so much now! He's still keen on them, but I think they realise he can't see them if they go on his blind side and they can escape his advances easily now.
Has anyone experienced this before? Do you think it will improve once he's got more used to having just one eye? They are currently all free ranging, but I wondered if putting them in a sectioned off bit (about 30ft x 15ft) would help as there is less space for this girls to go wandering off in!
