We just got home with our new Muscovies (hatched in September). Five females and 1 male....we think. As we were getting them out, one of them escaped. She was just wattling around so we continued to get the others settled. She is no where in sight now. Do you think she will come back?

I am so sad!

Our neighbor's Muscovy's like visiting around the neighborhood and often flew away and came back later, you would often wake up and find one or two on your porch. I would just make sure her friends are in sight and some food, and maybe she'll come back

I sure hope so!!!!

Update: We received a call from one of the neighbors several doors down. She asked if we were still missing a duck. I said yes. She said to look diagonal across the street on the roof of another's house. There she was. This ducks name is Friend. She is my 3 year old's duck. Funny name! We brought one of the other females out to the front yard and put her in a rabbit cage surrounded by a circle of cattle fence. We were able to catch her when she came to see the cage duck (JoJo). It took a couple of attempts and a lot of patience. When all of the ducks were reunited, their tails were wagging and they were pecking each other on the bill. It was so cute. Then the two that we had handled, JoJo and Friend, promptly went to the pond to bathe. I guess they wanted to wash of the human stink that was on them. Of course, DH promply went to take a shower too. He had some duck stink on him too! LOL! We are so excited!
