Muscovies will try to go home.

when I bought six young adult Muscovies.
They all flew off never to be found again
except one that was hit by a car.

i thought domestic ducks cant fly far..or wouldnt fly....i havent clipped my reouns(sp?) wings or my runner mix's wings.....should i?....all mine have ever done is fly for a few feet in my yard....they stay right in my yard...do i need to clip...just to be safe?...thanks, Wendy
 
Some of the smaller breeds can fly. It depends on their weight. My khaki's fly like a brick
