One of our chicks got loose and is hiding under our steps with no access. Any thoughts on retrieval?

Can you use like a broom or something to get it out? You could also try luring it out with food.

Well my wife is an amazing chicken wrangler and she just caught her!!

It’s getting dark and she just ran to the main mama (my wife!) who was holding food. They are getting big and starting to fly up on things and I think the brooder is too small. We are waiting on a coop to be delivered - in about 2 weeks - and then maybe a month from there they will be coop ready!

Best to keep your brooder covered at all times when you're not currently accessing them, and if you're letting them outside for some playtime, keep them within some sort of fenced enclosure to reduce risk of runaways.

Thanks! We do all that - it was on the transit from outdoor playtime back to the brooder! They may have lost their playtime privileges!
