One hen, one rooster....

Hi there. I have one chicken that is close to six months old. Would it be okay to introduce a rooster to the coop? I think she needs some company and also protection.

Well you can but she will probably get a bare back from him mating her. I would just get another hen if you only have 1 hen.

If you can I would get a couple hens and 1 roo.
