My albino chukar and white Bobwhites have started hatching..... I have 23 white bobs that look viable and looks like most will hatch. Several have already hatched and I needed to air lift the first wave out of the bator. They were assaulting a chukar that was taking longer to hatch than the bobs figured it should. Its half time and a dozen or more are pipping now... Looks like I got a snowflake in this batch. Its black instead of yellow like the white bobs, or brown like a normal bob...The duller yellows are the albino chukar..... They hatch with pink eyes, but at around a year their eyes turn dark with a light blue ring around them. My favorite game bird. Not a true albino but cool just the same. Id like to see a few more snowflakes before its over!
