I have two chicks that are now about one week old. One of the chicks seemed to like laying on its back as much as its belly. Everytime I would see it on its back I would turn it over. Next time I looked in it would be turned over again, sleeping peacefully. Sometimes I would wake it up, and it would turn itself back over. It got to be kind of comical. I tried to explain to it that it was not good for it, nor was it proper chicken behavior. It didn't pay me very much attention.
