One Less Snake w/Picture

I think I will have a hoe or a shovel near the coop for these creepy things.

My husband is working or out of town when stuff like this happens.

Although I haven't seen a big snake like the ones I have seen on BYC in a couple of years, but I'm sure the will be back when the coop is operational.

I don't know one snake from the other, but we have rattle snakes and water mosickins (sp?). Not looking forward to the day I come across the first one.

After my copperhead incident yesterday, I now keep a shovel in the barn.

The black snakes aren't bad - I just don't want such huge ones that close to me...or the birds for that matter.

I'm sure this is one that I got out of the barn a few weeks ago. Four of them were 6 feet long!
