First a little background.....
On Monday the neighbors wolf dog pushed down our fence, broke into our coop and decimated my flock. Four of my ladies- ripped apart. :-( While I am still upsetting about losing my chickens, my neighbor has been great about making things right. She has already begun replacing the fence, paying for repairs to our coop and so on...
I have one lady left (I might change her name to Lucky). I know that chickens are flock animals so I am concerned about her being alone. We plan on getting new chicks but it will be months before they will be big enough to join her. What do you guys think? Am I crazy for worrying about a chicken being lonely?
TIA
