Here's my EEer Martha, she's 10 weeks old. At least...I've been told she's a she, but the fact she's a beast with HUGE legs, and weighs substantially more than the rest of my 10 week old flock, I have doubts. Anyone wanna weigh in one last time and tell me she'll give me nice green eggs instead of a nice loud crow? Thanks!

Yay! Thanks Donrae! How would I got about getting chicks that are pullets, in different colors? I pretty much have fallen in love with the EE breed and really want to get some different colors! Would I basically have to order from a hatchery that sexes chicks?

Yep, or a feed store. My grange has had a bin full of ee chicks for months, and they vary in color from the classic chipmonk to a light blonde. Some are what I call blueberry, they have that blue/purple cast to them and often have a blue wheaton look when they mature.

Gosh I wish I lived near you! The only EE chicks (sold at our feed store as "AmerIcauna") I've seen were all the same as my girl above. I'll have to check more thoroughly next year!

Pullet. No roo will be that color.
Don't mean to be butting in, but if no roo will be that color, what color will they be??? I have 2 that look like that.

I mean I have two chicks that look like that, but I am not sure of their sex either.
