One mouse down

For pas few days,something was eating my eggs,and i though that was the 2 new chickens,but today i saw i was not right.As i went to feed the ladies and the boys,i saw a medium-sized mouse eating one egg.I carefully put the little guy in a box,and(im sorry to say this) he met Mr.BIG stone,several times.It was pretty quick death,he died after 1st or 2nd hit,but i needed to be sure.
Since April(when i got the hens),first pest kill,and hopefully the last

I hope it is too. I'm not sure but I think it might be hard for a mouse to break open and egg. Perhaps it was already cracked, which happens.
I lost 5 birds in the last month to raccoons when I couldn't get home before dark.
I finally caught one last night. This won't be the first or last one to meet his maker.
