Ok I've had chicks before and never had a problem but this time I got 4 chicks and 2 ducklings. I have two ideas of what could have maybe happend but I'm not sure.I put them all in the same large tub with a light, food, and water. Well the ducks tipped the water over and got one of the chicks all wet. The water container was tipped over and all the pine shavings was all wet. That's the first thought that came to me on what happened to the little chick. It got wet and now it's sick. But then as I was cleaning the tub and separating the chicks and ducks began to wander if maybe one of my kids who is 3 and 4 could have sprayed detangler on it. I don't smell detangler but I seen them with the bottle of it and took it away from them. I have the chicks locked up and really don't think they could get the door open to get to them. I asked and my older daughter who is 4 said they didn't put any on it. I'm just wondering what I can do. I think it's possibly dying. What can I do? I removed the ducklings to a separate tub since this incident. Please help

Try to get it warm and dry. That is about all you can do. Make sure that little ones cannot get to the chicks. They should, just be able to watch them, but not touch unless you are there. I hope the chick warms up and live.
