One of my baby chicks is just plain rotten!

Okay, I tried all of this and none of it made a bit of difference. She still is a bully when placed with the others but is just the sweetest thing when separated. I know now Henrietta is not a Henry and is a young pullet because I had her sexed today....YAY! So at this point we are keeping her unless she just gets really nasty to us as she continues to grow. With that being said, I'm on a mission 8)! I'm ordering chicken peepers to see if they make a difference. I know I can't change her disposition entirely (and wouldn't want to as apparently she is all true chicken with awesome instincts), but if I can make her nicer to where she can be with a flock and not a loner then I've done my job as a new chicken momma. Apparently she sees herself as head hen even though she's separated because she sounded a LOUD honk 5xs this morning (n I missed it, I was watering the garden....I'm so upset!). Hubby said she scared our dog and the other chickens lol! So, she either wanted attention cause she's spoiled and he walked away or she was warning the others of danger?... Guess time will tell. Anywho just wanted to update that as JTBROWN said she is an attitude laden girl. So THANK YOU for all your responses! Much appreciated!!! 8)

It sounds like she does think of herself as the lead hen. The lead hen in my flock will honk loudly (like the egg song) when she senses the hens are in danger. It's truly amazing. She's a wonderful lead hen, not mean at all. I hope you get your hen calmed down and not so mean :(
