One of my chickens is getting picked on...

I've just had chickens for a year now - we have 6 hens only. In the last few weeks, one of our hens is getting picked on by the others... is this normal? She's an australorp and very docile/shy. It's very obvious that she's getting picked on a lot, and she's much more nervous now, as well as looks pretty hammered. What's going on?

from Ohio. It sounds like normal pecking order going on. Just keep an eye on it to make sure they are not drawing blood. I have shot mine with the hose if they start getting carried away. Also, if they don't have enough room this will cause fighting. Good luck.
