Got home from work early (thank goodness!) to let them out and only three babies strolled out with the flock... hmmmmm... loud disturbed cries from over in the corner helped me find him... Little Houdini apparently thought he'ld go free ranging by himself!

Fortunately we were able to snip the netting off him and it appears he has not suffered any injury...! I put his beak in the water for a quick drink, then he ran out to join the others in the yard.

This morning "Houdini" hopped out of the coop along with his siblings and appears fine, it's a bit cool so he's sticking close to momma. The chicks all snuggled under her wings immediately after breakfast.

I say "he" but heaven only knows at this point - three weeks old, *I* sure can't tell them apart....

Isn't that just the worst feeling in the world when one of them get stuck? That happened to me as well except the other chickens were trying to permanently shut her up. Great save. I'm glad the baby is ok.
