My Oldest chicken of a flock of 6 is suddenly sick looking. She is about 6 years old almost 7 in a few months. Yesterday I noticed she was sleeping a lot more around the yard, and not moving too much. Today she spent all day near the coop under a tree, I hadn't seen her go eat or drink all day so I brought the food and water to her. She ate some seed and drank some water. I left the rest next to her under the tree. Her comb is all droopy I don't know what that means. When I went to lock them up for the night she wasn't roosting instead sleeping in the nest box. I ended up picking her up and moving her into the other nest box because it had hay in it. ( Our girls normally only lay together in the one nest so we only put hay in one ) Underneath her I saw yellowy poo. I checked her bottom to make sure she wasn't fly blown thankfully she wasn't. Although the yellow poo had dried on her feathers, I think it might be diaheria? Normally she doesn't like being touched yet she never moved when I did today. They haven't been wormed for about a year but they have no lice or mites. I'm thinking I should worm them soon.
Any help is thanked :)

This is typical behavior that I see with a sick older hen. She could have some reproductive infection, cancer, or internal laying, but crop problems (impacted or sour crop) can also be common issues. Those may be secondary to a primary illness, or occur alone. Check her crop in early morning before she eats to see if her crop is emptying overnight, or if it is full and hard, doughy, or puffy. Let us know how it feels. Try to get her to drink fluids and offer some mushy wet chicken feed, egg, or tuna in small amounts. Poop pictures can be helpful.

I checked and her crop was more doughy. I'm going to get her to drink rn. I'll give her some mushy seed and small amount of tuna for today.

If her crop feels doughy, you can give a tsp of of chilled coconut oil, cut into small slivers to peck, or olive oil, veg, or mineral oil in a bit of egg or food. Then massage the crop several times a day. Recheck the crop first thing each morning before she eats to check if it is emptying.

I'll do that for her at lunch, I just got back from checking her she hasn't pooped yet today so I couldn't take any photos she had a few drinks of water and ate a few mouthfuls of the tuna and seed. Shes under the tree resting again. I left the food and water next to her again.
