One of my silkies has a severe foot problem

Maybe severe scaly leg? None of my other chickens have it, but I did just discover they all have lice. I was going to get a couple of new pulleys today but I guess I should wait. What is the best course of action? How do I know if it's something else with her feet?

I just dipped all my hens in oil ( their legs!), they weren't happy. Tomorrow I'll dust their bodies. Offhand how long before we can eat the eggs after we dust?

Well I dipped their legs in oil last night, they weren't too pleased but did fine. I swear my silkie with the really bad case seems better already. The funny-ish thing about it is that my dog thought the oil was a yummy coating so of course broke into the run and licked one of the silkies like a lollipop. Didn't harm her in anyway other than her pride maybe.

I did two nights in a row of dipping, then took last night off. Tonight I tried Vaseline, because I thought it would be easier. The Vaseline was less messy, but I felt unsure that I got into all the nooks and crannies of her feet. I tried to do a lot of rubbing, a huge chunk of yuck came off. Is that old scales? Anyhow she has already improved a great deal. Might go back to the oil just to feel more certain I'm covering all the area.
