I hope this is the right place to post this. I'm a little concerned for the rest of the flock. One of our Buff Orp's died suddenly overnight. She was laying in the coop with her eyes closed...no injury...nothing. She was 5 1/2 months old, and they have just started to lay eggs. They all seem to be healthy in that they are a nice weight and their feathers are shinny and such. Any idea's what this could have been and should I worry that the others are sick but not showing any signs? Is there something I could be looking for in the future?

Thanks so much!!!

First I suggest disinfecting your coop, completely.
Next If you still have the body, ask you county extension officer if tests could be done on the body.
Once you know what the causes were vacinate/deworm your flock.
I'm sorry to hear about your Orps' death

So sorry you lost one.
I've had that happen, and it could just be one of those things. Keep a sharp eye out for other symptoms, and post if any show up.

Imp- come to think of it. It was a Buff Orp that died on me too.

Some people use Oxine I believe. You can get it at the feed store.

I would use a bleach solution and let everything air dry till you cannot smell it strongly.

I had a buff orp that died suddenly. This is the first I've mentioned it here. I thought she might have been escaping the roo and flown off the roost into the wall and broken her neck. But I really don't know. She was a little pudgy bugger and the sweetest thing.
