On Sunday morning we noticed Daisy laid her 1st egg sometime Saturday night. Then by yesterday morning there were a total of 3 eggs. Last night she didn't lay an egg and her 1st one is gone. They were all there last night and they are locked in a secure shelter at night so nothing got in and got it. The 1st egg she laid was beside the nest not in the nest and before I learned that if you find an egg outside of the nest not to put it in the nest, my husband put it back in. So this morning he went down to let them out and the 1st egg is gone. No sign of a broken shell. Looks like some possible yolk in and around the nest, but a very small amount. So it's hard to tell for sure. So did they break the egg last night and eat it all including the shell? This is her first time laying eggs, so I'm all new to the egg laying and process.
